I am on the hunt for a vintage bicycle...anyone know where to even start looking? No luck with Craigslist or Ebay...in the meantime, I will soak up these pretty, sentimental bicycle images courtesy of flickr and fd flickr toys:

Certainly not vintage but vintage-inspired, anyway: http://chezshoes.wordpress.com/2009/06/19/bike-crush/
They're from Target!
Oh, I've been wanting a vintage bike too!
Try junk yards, or yard sales and salvage shops :)
That is where I got mine from before my mom threw it away when i went to college :(
I live in Orange County, CA. My Craig's List had tons of cute vintage bikes (bicycling is the thing to do out here.)
Here's one:

How bad do you want one? Maybe you make a trip out of it!
Love your blog by the way : )
You definitely must get one. Did you search for something other than "vintage bike" in ebay and craigslist? how about "beach cruiser" (one and two words), "Schwinn," or even "old bike." If that doesn't work, you could look in the local paper or Pennysaver for ads, or maybe take out a cheap one yourself.
omg, the Target bike is a dream! Im gonna buy it today! thanks so much for all the emails and links guys :) much appreciated!
I saw a gorgeous vintage bicycle in Anthropologie yesterday, and they were actually selling it! I don't know if it was just something at that location though...
