I stepped away from photography (a bit) over the summer and have only recently found myself inspired again.  I've done some conceptual shoots that I have yet to share and for fun I have been playing around with my new iphone 4S.  I'm @elle_moss if you feel like following me.

Sunday walk in Chelsea, Michigan

  Yesterday I drove to Chelsea with the hubs and Olive for an estate sale and a little photo walk around town.  We ran into an old friend and got drinks at Zou Zou's Cafe and then took to the streets.  Chelsea has an old-fashioned charm about it and many memories for me.   My Great Aunt owned a hair salon in Chelsea the 1940s and she and her sisters raised my grandmother here, after her mother died.  

  Although my grandmother moved back to Ann Arbor,  I did enjoy a few Christmases in Chelsea with those great aunts.

  It's really a cute town and only about a 10-15 minute drive far from Ann Arbor.  

 

 

Herriott Grace

 

Herriott Grace is a Canadian shop that makes hand-carved wooden objects for the home.  Not only do they have beautiful items, but they have a great story as well.  Father-daughter team Lance and Nikole live 3,000 miles apart from each other and started their business after Nikole asked her father if he would be willing to share his creations with the world.  Each beautiful item is handcrafted and one of a kind.

Along with running the shop, Nikole also heads up the brilliant blog 46th At Grace.
