Friday Favorites - Let's Go!

 ROAD TRIP - LET'S GO!

I'm really craving a long road trip and some hot summer sunshine.  The images above remind me so much of the two road trips I took as a child, from Michigan to California, with lots of motel stops along the way.  I am seriously considering driving cross-country again, but with some air conditioning this time!  Do you have any summer vacation plans?

Fun girls trip to Palm springs - I wanna be there!

This year I'm going to try to be more eco-friendly when I travel.
Vintage luggage is a great option and much more stylish, don't you think?

When you pull up to starbucks in the morning, you can hand them a stainless steel or ceramic mug (with kitty cats, of course) to fill up with your latte.
Or you can turn a canning jar into a mug (for hot or cold drinks) with Cuppow.  They are bpa free and fit right onto any canning jar.
Instead of taking a case of bottled water, we use Brita water filter bottles, which can be reused over and over again.

I love road trips. The best one I've done was in 2010. Ottawa - North Carolina (outer banks) for a week on the beach. It took us 15 hours and many stops through the States. It was quite interesting to see the change in culture as we were going down through the states. Also, how cool is this cuppow??? I love it (I need one).

I love road trips too! I'm taking a short one tomorrow from Richmond, Va. to Asheville, NC. In October I'm driving from Richmond to Louisville to Memphis to New Orleans. And back again. AND then in 2014 my niece and I (for her college graduation) are planning a month long road trip from Richmond to Charleston SC to Savannah to Key West to New Orleans to Austin, TX to Asheville and back to Richmond. You hit upon one of my favorite subjects, road trips :)
And also you should definitely visit the Outer Banks sometime. I live a couple of hours drive from there and it's a fairly regular destination. The fall down there is wonderful.
What a great post, I'm going to enjoy looking through all of these roadtrip inspired goodies that you have here...
Hope you get your road trip sometime soon!
